Dr. Jeff Harlig, Writing Center Director and Senior Associate Director of the Centers for Learning and Academic Support Services (C.L.A.S.S.), wrote this WC-themed poem (that is not to be taken seriously) to get us all in the mood for composition in all its forms:
I like writing.
I find it exciting.
The trembling, sweating, and nail-biting.
The bubbling fear-of-failure inciting.
The pondering, the drafting--then the draft-igniting.
Of course it’s inviting.
How could anyone not like writing?
